CIDSE and Caritas Europa Seminar
09. November 2007CIDSE and Caritas Europa has organised a joint seminar on the: “Changing dynamics and strategies in cooperation and partnership for sustainable funding between local actors in the field of Development” from 13th to 16th November 2007 to be held at MS-TCDC in Arusha, Tanzania.
International donors are decentralizing funds and developing new aid instruments for development cooperation. These decisions have implications for civil society actors in the North and South creating new opportunities and challenges for partnership and effective aid management.
The CIDSE and Caritas Europa seminar will bring together member organisations and their partners, as well as local government and international donor representatives from Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi and Kenya. Discussions will focus on the diversification of sustainable funding, policy dialogue with local governments/the international donor community, and the complementarities and coherence of local and international NGO activities.
