MS TCDC conducted a Farewell party for the outgoing Principal Ulla Godtfredsen and inauguration of the incoming Principal Prudence Kaijage on Saturday 25th November 2006 at MS TCDC, Usa River.
The inauguration was successfull and the staff celebrated the annual party on the same day.
The current CEO of MS-TCDC, Principal Ulla Godtfredsen, is ending her fifth and last year of contract with MS. For the first time in its 30 year old history, MS-TCDC will now get a Tanzanian Principal. This is Prudence Kaijage who is currently the Director of Training in MS-TCDC. He is therefore very conversant with the challenges MS-TCDC is facing and well-known to our staff and to many of our clients and partners.
Prudence is 40 years old and holds degrees in Social Work and in Organisational Development and Consultancy Skills. He has a broad knowledge and experience base in development issues, training and in civil society leadership and management from MS-TCDC and also from work he did before joining MS-TCDC as a trainer in 1996. Mr. Kaijage was hired by MS through an elaborate and competitive recruitment process in Denmark, where he was found the best suited candidate. He is eager to continue the positive development MS-TCDC has had the later years but also to head those changes which are necessary for the centre to live up to the new Programme Strategy for 2006-10.
