Vacancy: Director of Training

Director of Training, MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation, Arusha.
Tasks:

The Director of Training is a member of the leadership team of MS-TCDC and has the following main tasks:      

• Overall management responsibility for the training division
• Programme development and monitoring to ensure high quality and relevant training courses and consultancies
• Support the Principal in managing the centre’s external relations, organising Policy Advisory Board meetings, marketing and in the overall management of the centre
• Conduct training and consultancies in relevant areas of specialisation

Qualifications required:

• At least a Masters Degree in Social Science
• Min. 8 years working experience of which min. 3 years were in a management position, preferably in the non-profit/civil society sector
• Experience in and solid understanding of Poverty and Development issues in Africa
• Experience in developing, conducting and managing participatory training

Furthermore:

• Flexibility, patience, interest in taking part in other cultures
• Ability to cooperate and maintain open dialogue with staff

Employment conditions:

Three years with possibility of extension

Monthly salary and benefits:

• Basic salary: 20,594.12 DKr - after two years 23,533.00 DKr.
• Country Supplement: 5,802.81 DKr.
• Resettlement allowance (saving): 2,985.34 DKr.

MS TCDC is a training programme under MS. The centre employs 80 full time staff. The centre provides high quality training and consultancies in development to civil society organisations with their partners. We also offer Swahili courses and conference facilities. Our main focus is Eastern and Southern Africa.
