Symposium 2006
14. August 2006MS TCDC is holding a Symposium on Democracy as a way of life and will be held on 30th to 31st of August 2006.
The aim of this symposium is to provide an opportunity for NGO's, other civil society organisations, government agencies, universities and research institutions to collectively and critically reflect upon their current focus and contributions to democracy as a way of life within East Africa. Themes to be explored/disscussed include decentralisation, devolution and democracy; prevailing democratic ideologies in East Africa; institutionalising democracy; and the ethnicity challenge in democracy in East Africa.
