Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to initiate funding partnerships, raise funds, negotiate contract terms, manage contracts and sustain healthy donor relations.

Course Content:

  • Introduction to fundraising; types of funds & funding frameworks

  • Designing a fundraising strategy; fundraising cycle & donor scoping

  • Proposal writing and project design; funding formats and proposal submission

  • Negotiating contract terms and contract/grants management; key concepts and challenges; routines and responsibilities

  • Funds flow and partnership agreements

  • The impact of grant agreements on financial accounting and procurement system

  • Reporting requirements

  • Managing multiple –donor funded projects

  • Maintaining relationships for successful grant management
