Seminar key issues & reflective questions

  • Democracy key concepts – How to build meaningful democracy and deliver just and democratic governance to citizens through elections? (Can we learn from history?)
  • Democracy in Africa – A special approach needed?
  • Political Parties, Multi Party Democracy and citizen agency as a driver for democracy – Pros and cons off various drivers for empowerment
  • Donor influence on electoral Politics – National sovereignty or sell out?
  • The way forward – Fixing the holes or looking for alternative approaches?

Development practitioners across the line working with any of the three subjects in any way possible from CSOs, Government, Private Sector, FBOs, Social Movements, Donors and/or Academia/research.
