OPEN INVITATION: A GROUP ART EXHIBITION

'An exhibition that seeks to trigger conversations around social injustices, and address the shrinking space of activists across the continent.'

We are about to conclude a month Artivist in Residency (AiR) Programme Pilot Edition at MS TCDC (Training Centre for Development Cooperation). This residency was designed to provide the space for artists to nurture their social causes, campaign, and also create a themed work around ‘Freedom of speech’. Five (5) artists from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Sudan and Tanzania was selected and have embarked on a creative mission to deliver an art piece.

MS TCDC therefore cordially invites YOU to our first AiR (Artivist in Residence) Exhibition on this subject matter. Your presence means a lot to us.

Each artists aims to address the freedom of speech using their various art medium from Music, Sculptor, Painting, Illustration, and Writing. This exhibition seeks to trigger conversations around social injustices, and address the shrinking space of activists across the continent.

The exhibition will be held on Wednesday, 6th of June 2018, at the MS TCDC Centre in Arusha, Tanzania. It opens at 3pm.

For those who may find it difficult to locate the Centre we are in USA River, Arusha along Moshi – Arusha road and if you are taking public transport ask to them to drop you at Danish Centre as that is how we are popularly known around.
