Swahili Intermediate Course

This course is offered five times in a year. It is intended for participants who have completed the beginner’s course or who in other ways have acquired a corresponding level of swahili.

Course Objectives

To enhance participant’s converse with ease and confidently exchange basic information in the community related to work, recreation and social situations.


Course Content
Intermediate course builds on foundation acquired at beginner’s level. It focuses more on conversation practice to enhance communicative skills, expand vocabulary and enable the learner to use current swahili in different situations. It is a three weeks programme with a total of 90 teaching hours including excursions and immersion sessions.
 
Exchanging greetings and talking about transport systems, family, Tanzania and its natural resources, weather and agricultural activities, talking about businesses in Tanzania, health issues, education system in Tanzania, community development projects, office activities, official meetings, ones feelings, talking about sport and other recreational activities.

• Propriocepitve approach
