The aim of the education is to raise participant’s awareness of the challenges for global citizenship in the 21st century and to improve participant’s capacity to form a strong voice in society by facilitating, organizing, and mobilizing people to set up campaigns that promote social change. And to create a network between youth aiming to create social change together.
· From theory to practice: Working with a rights-based approach, Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s), global inequality and how to change it.
· Participatory facilitation, cultural understanding, conflict management and facilitation of public events.
· Campaign planning: What is a good campaign? Generating ideas, stake holder analysis, conducting campaigns and fostering social change.
· Research: Participatory action research method, new media, and mobilization through social media. Fieldwork research with focus groups.
· Communication: Dealing with the press, rhetoric, political communication and advocacy. Creating public debate through new media, blogs, etc.
· Successful events: Performance activities, improvisation, and creative communication. Launching a campaign!
· Networking: Future action planning, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Start up new projects and create social change!
The fee is US$2500 this includes full board and 2 field trips
